Lawton IADL

Description: The Lawton Independent Activities of Daily Living ls (Lawton & Brody, 1969) assesses a patient’s ability to engage in various daily tasks (e.g., using a telephone, doing laundry, handling finances) independently. It is a caregiver, i.e., a proxy, rating scale.  

Scoring: The scores range from 0 (minimum score possible, indicative of low functioning) to 8 (highest score possible, indicative of high level of independent functioning).
