Description: Available in English and Spanish. The Empathy Quotient-10 is a 10-item self-report questionnaire designed to measure empathy. This assessment was designed by the Autism Research Centre. Of note, the EQ-10 is a short version of the 60-item original Empathy Quotient.

Scoring: A higher score indicates higher levels of empathy. Maximum score of 20, minimum score of 0.
Items 1, 2, 4, 6, and 9 are scored such that "Strongly agree" is 2 points and "Slightly agree" is 1 point; "Strongly Disagree" and "Slightly disagree" are worth 0 points.
Items 3, 5, 7, 8 and 10 are reverse scored (i.e., these items are scored such that "Strongly disagree" is 2 points and "Slightly disagree" is 1 point; "Strongly Agree" and "Slightly agree" are worth 0 points).
