Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) (adult)

Description: The Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) is a 7-item screening tool that asks respondents to rate the nature and symptoms of their sleep problems.

Adult self-report ages: 18+ years

Scoring: Higher score indicates more severe insomnia symptoms.
Each item is rated 0 to 4.

Score ranges:
0-7: no clinically significant insomnia
8-14: subthreshold insomnia
15-21: clinical insomnia (moderate severity)
22-28: clinical insomnia (severe)
