On your PROM dashboard, you will find two columns with PROM buttons: Patient PROM and Proxy PROM. While the functionality of the PROM buttons is the same in both columns, there is a difference between which PROMs are available. One column supports self-report measures and the other supports proxy-report measures.
Patient PROMs
Patient PROMs are self-report measures. When the patient receives their PROM, it is expected that they provide their own responses. These measures will be written in the first person (i.e. "I feel...", "I am..."). Note: This does not limit patients from receiving assistance such as having the items and answer options read aloud or having another person click on their responses for them.
To view and/or customize the self-report PROMs that your patient can complete, you can select any of the buttons in the Patient PROM column on the dashboard.
The scores for the completed self-report PROMs will be found on the patient's dashboard under "Patient Outcomes".

Proxy PROMs
Proxy PROMs are proxy-report measures. These measures are written to obtain responses from a patient's caregiver, guardian, or other individual who can speak to the patient's behaviors and symptoms. In some cases, Proxy measures will ask the proxy-informant about their own feelings regarding their responsibilities as a caregiver/guardian/etc..
Most of the PROMs available on DMAR Hub have a self-report and a proxy-report version, depending on the age of the patient.
To view and/or customize the proxy-report PROMs that your patient's proxy can complete, you can select any of the buttons in the Proxy PROM column on the dashboard. Note: The 'No PROMs' button in the Proxy column indicates that a provider has not selected any proxy measures. The button status will change once PROMs are selected.
The scores for the completed proxy-report PROMs will be found on the patient's dashboard under "Proxy Outcomes".
